A platinum-iron alloy containing 26.7% iron has been studied by x-ray diffraction. A slight anisotropy of the unit cell, with c/a = 0.9998, is observed at the initial onset of antiferromagnetism, but an effective return to cubic symmetry occurs at temperatures where two different antiferromagnetic structures described by Bacon and Crangle in 1963 are co-existent.
