The velocity spectrum obtained in an earlier paper is used in a calculation of the cold neutron scattering cross section for a dilute concentration of hydrogen in liquid argon. Since the theoretical cross section contains no unknown parameters, a comparison with recent observed cross sections provides a good test of the validity of the itinerant oscillator model of liquids.
