dc.description The spin-lattice relaxation time for the conduction electrons has been measured for several dilute alloys of Li in both the solid and liquid states. The relaxation time was found to increase by a few per cent at the solid-liquid transition, suggesting a rather small change in the density of states of the Fermi level. In addition, results are presented for the g shift of the conduction electrons with respect to the free-electron value.
