Theoretical calculations are presented for the transmission of monoenergetic electron beams through foils. Numerical results were obtained for aluminium at 100, 150 and 200 kev incident energies, where the agreement between the theoretical curves and experimental points is found to be good. The effect of geometry on the transmission coefficient is discussed.
