Comparison of "electrical" and pyrometric temperatures for several different types of diode show that the electrical method can be reliably used with oxide-coated cathodes. The method may be of use in determining the surface temperature of indirectly-heated cathodes in practical valve structures which are not accessible for pyrometric measurements. |
