| dc.description | In spectrographic analysis the striking of a d.c. are between electrodes of the material under test is usually performed mechanically; in this paper apparatus is described which besides igniting the arc electrically by means of a high-frequency trigger spark re-ignites it automatically should it be accidentally extinguished or the arc current drop below a predetermined value during the period of exposure. |
