| dc.description | An approximate equation is derived for the frequency of vibration of an end-loaded fixed-free strip having the loaded end vertically below the fixed end. This equation, which is an improvement on previous results, is compared with experiment, and a comparison is also made between the observed and predicted deflexion curve of the vibrating strip. In both cases the agreement is satisfactory. |
