Аннотация:
An investigation of the behaviour of electrode materials in a discharge containing water vapour is described. Most common stable metals, as well as a semiconducting ceramic were tried. Some information is given on the increase of maintaining voltage and sputtering with time for both normal and abnormal glow discharges. Measurements of the rate of clean-up of water vapour in normal discharges have also been made.
