The problem of an end-loaded strip, vibrating in a vertical plane, has been solved under the usual condition that the mass of the strip is neglected. The deflexion curve is derived first from statical considerations. Frequency is then calculated on the basis of energy relations. Agreement with experiments of Hearmon and Adams seems to be better than previous results.
