| dc.description | The probabilities that various sizes of live coal will ignite various domestic materials have been determined. In addition the maximum probability that a coal will pass through a mesh has been calculated. Combining the two results has given a measure of the efficiency of spark guards in reducing fire risk. It is suggested that non-flammable Nylon net is a suitable material for a combined fire and spark guard. |
