The output of an unbalanced platinum resistance thermometer bridge varies in a non-linear manner with temperature. It is shown that this is due to the non-linearity of the resistance element itself and to the finite values of the bridge ratio resistors. A method for effective compensation of this non-linearity over a limited temperature range (e.g. 0 to 50° C) is described. |
