Techniques are outlined for handling selenium, arsenic, phosphorus, sulphur and iodine in medium low pressure plasmas (similar 1 torr pressure), and a design of cold cathode tube for use with these described. Attention is called to the weakness of metallic spectra in spite of the occurrence of considerable chemical or other cathode sputtering.
