| dc.description | The construction of rotary vacuum seals having shaft diameters of 3.9 in and 5.0 in. is described. Mechanical support for the seals is provided by bearings and O-rings are used for vacuum sealing. The seals have been successfully applied to the rotation of large windows to preserve transparency during photolysis studies. |
