A macro-apparatus for determining the velocity of electrophoresisi by direct measurement of an interface made visible by a highly coloured sol is described. Whilst avoiding unnecessary complexity it embodies the main improvements suggested in the past for an apparatus of this type. The calibration of the instrument and an example of its use are given.
