The new superconductor BiSrCaCu2Oy with Tc above 80 K has been studied by electron diffraction and high-resolution electron microscopy. The crystal structure is observed to be one-dimensional incommensurate. The unit cell of the average structure is orthogonal with cell parameters a=0.539 nm, b=0.541 nm, c=3 nm. The periodicity of the incommensurate modulation is 2.53 nm and the direction of modulation is slightly deviated form the b axis.
