Nd1.85Ce0.15CuO4- delta has been prepared from a diethylamine medium by the hydroxide coprecipitation method. A theoretical estimate of the conditions necessary for hydroxide coprecipitation and a preliminary characterization of the properties of the electron-doped cuprate, obtained after high-temperature treatment, are reported.
