A hydrodynamic model has been used to study the magnetoplasmon modes on lateral surfaces of two coupled half-plane semiconductor superlattices. The numerical calculation result predicts that the coupled localised edge modes may be softened because of the coupling between two lateral surfaces. The new softened surface plasmon mode in two coupled half-bulks is obtained. Several special cases are also discussed. |
