The authors present the first measurements of the Hall coefficient of a series of BaAl amorphous alloys. The striking feature of the measurements is that the Hall coefficients are positive apart from those for the most Al-rich sample and have a strong temperature dependence. The authors discuss whether the side-jump mechanism or s-d hybridization can account for the sign of the Hall effect in these alloys.
