dc.description Over the past two decades or so, the positron annihilation technique has successfully probed Fermi surface (FS) topologies in a variety of metals and alloy systems. However, in electronically complex systems, due to the relatively weak FS signals compared with those arising from annihilations from a large number of full bands, possible strong positron wave function comes into effect. Here, we introduce a new way of looking at the problem using maximum-entropy enhancement of the data. Test results from the simple FS picture of vanadium are presented.
