Electropolymerization of 1, 3-dithienyl-5-phenylverdazyl with hexafluorophosphate as the counter anion gives solid materials with a high concentration of radical spins. A portion of the magnetic moments show magnetic order with spontaneous magnetization at temperatures of 10 K and below. The samples are characterized by measurement of field- and temperature-dependent static magnetic susceptibility, electron spin resonance and low-temperature magnetization curves (hysteresis loops).
