Propagation of strong magnetoplasma waves is studied with consideration of effects of the temporal dispersion. It is shown that me temporal dispersion in the nonlinear regime leads to overturning of the wavefront and generation of the shock waves. An analysis of the evolution of shock waves is carried out in both nondissipative and weakly dissipative cases.
