dc.description Optical reflectivity data are reported for expanded liquid caesium over the range (density, ) to (density, ) for photon energies . Optical effective mass ratios obtained from the plasma frequency are compared with mass ratios extracted from analysis of the magnetic susceptibility. Both masses exhibit enhancements for liquid densities less than about , suggesting that expanded caesium gradually transforms to a highly correlated metal below this density.
