The location of stretched states in <sup>26</sup>Na and <sup>30</sup>Al

The differential cross sections for the (t,<sup>3</sup>He) reaction to states in <sup>26</sup>Na and <sup>30</sup>Al have been compared with DWBA calculations. Candidates for the 5<sup>+</sup> states have been found at 3.91 MeV in <sup>30</sup>Al and at 2.29 MeV and 5.08 MeV in <sup>26</sup>Na. A possible 5<sup>+</sup> state has been found at 2.89 MeV in <sup>30</sup>Al. The energy levels predicted by the USD shell model are compared with the experimental spectra.
