| dc.description | Gamma-rays emitted following the <sup>34</sup>S+<sup>104</sup>Ru reaction have been studied using a preliminary version of the European array, containing 29 Ge detectors, in conjunction with the Daresbury recoil mass separator. Highly deformed bands in <sup>133</sup>Nd (5n reaction channel), <sup>135</sup>Nd (3n), and <sup>131</sup>Ce ( alpha 3n) have been observed. No evidence has been found in mass-selected data for the band previously assigned to <sup>134</sup>Nd (the dominant 4n channel in this reaction) which has 'identical' energies to the <sup>131</sup>Ce band. |
