Energy dependence of the angular distributions of the new resonance seen in <sup>12</sup>C(<sup>12</sup>C,<sup>12</sup>C(O<sub>2</sub><sup>+</sup>))<sup>12</sup>C(O<sub>2</sub><sup>+</sup>)

The authors calculate the energy dependence of the angular distributions for the resonance recently discovered in the <sup>12</sup>C(<sup>12</sup>C,<sup>12</sup>C(O<sub>2</sub><sup>+</sup>))<sup>12</sup>C(O<sub>2</sub><sup>+</sup>) reaction at E<sub>CM</sub> approximately= 33 MeV. They are able to give a satisfactory account of the published data in terms of a single resonant contribution described by a closed formula multiplied by a single Breit-Wigner amplitude. The calculations presented in this report also predict interference effects off-resonance between the resonant and background terms in qualitative agreement with the data.
