An effective mixture method, which allows the treatment of polydispersed fluids, is presented. Within this method, correlation and thermodynamic functions are evaluated solving the multicomponent Ornstein–Zernike equation with the Rogers–Young closure. The method is tested by making comparisons with simulations and with experimental data on colloidal suspensions.
