dc.description Using the multistep-capture-and-loss (MSCL) model a theoretical analysis for the K satellite spectra emitted from Ar hollow atoms formed in a solid observed by Briand et al is carried out. It is found from the simulation of the spectra with the model that the feature of the spectra is strongly dependent on the magnitude of the rate of electron capture from a solid by a projectile ion.
