Moment Sum-Rule and the Meson Spectroscopy in the Statistical Model

Using the moment sum-rule in the framework of the statistical model for a hadron, we have made numerical estimates of the constituent quark masses in ψ(cc̅) and Υ(bb̅) families. For the S-state levels, the SVZ moment has been studied and the moment ratio, R<sub>n</sub> is found to possess the maximum value, i.e., the inverse square of the corresponding ground state masses of ψ (cc̅) and Υ(bb̅) families.
