Alfvén solitons in a dense ultrarelativistic electron–positron pulsar plasma

The nonlinear propagation of Alfvén waves in a hot electron-positron plasma of a pulsar magnetosphere is investigated. Spiky intense Alfvén solitons are found to exist at ultrarelativistic (T ≫ Mc²) temperatures. Landau damping and three dimensional modulation perturbations of these solitons are discussed.
