dc.description Obliquely propagating large amplitude solitary waves in a magnetized two-electron-temperature plasma have been investigated by a pseudopotential approach and by a numerical solution of the full nonlinear system of fluid equations. The presence of hot electrons with cold ones changes the nature of electrostatic solitary waves and may allow rarefactive and compressive solitary waves to coexist. The effects of external magnetic field and obliqueness on the amplitude and width of these compressive and rarefactive solitary waves are discussed.
