| dc.description | Low wind and stable atmospheric conditions cause frequent PM10 episodes in the Po Valley. Such weather conditions are well characterized by temperature and wind profiles. Thermal inversion strength, height and duration, as well as wind profiles are set in relation to daily PM10 increments, and guidelines for forecasting air quality (AQ) in said conditions are derived. |
