MR. FRY, writing in NATURE (vol. ix. p. 103), says that â a glacier which has retreated from its terminal moraine is always the source of a stream of water, and this stream always cuts through the terminal moraine.â He infers from this that a lake cannot be formed by a moraine damming up a valley.
