Simulation is a computing technique used to study dynamic systems by creating a“picture” of the working system in the computer. Attempts have been made tosimulate various aspects of the Criminal Justice System in both the United Statesand Canada. This article describes the first simulation of any aspect of the CriminalJustice System in Australia. It describes a simulation model of the AdelaideMagistrates' Court and compares the simulation with data from various sourceswhich can be used to describe that system.
