Voters have been rejecting school bond tax levies with increasing regularity. A communication perspective was utilized to examine one school district that three times voted down funds for much-needed school facilities. Acceptance of the bond proposal was found to be significantly related to voter attitudes towards school officials, the nature of the campaign contact, and voter's involvement in the school system.
