This article presents a comprehensive overview of industrial relations publications which have appeared in the Dutch language over the past 5 to 10 years. On the basis of these publications it outlines recent changes in the industrial relations systems in The Netherlands and Belgium and analyses the debates to which these changes have given rise. Apart from substantive topics such as decentralization, flexibility, internationalization and their effects on the industrial relations practices, attention is given to the different theoretical approaches which are used to analyse these phenomena.
