With increasing time pressure psychologists must often rely on results gleaned from partially administered tests. The most common type of short form involves administering a subset of scales, and the resulting score is then used to estimate the score which would have been derived if the entire test had been administered. Tellegen and Briggs (1967) have provided formulae for determining the reliability and validity of such short forms. This paper describes six GWBASIC programs which determine every possible combination of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 subtests, lists what they are, and calculates their reliabilities and validities.
