The assessment of a vocational rehabilitation counselor's performance can be associated not only with the outcome resulting from a counselor's work in terms of the number of success ful rehabilitations, but also with the difficulty of the cases with which the counselor is working. One purpose of the current research is to identify those preservice client char acteristics which impact upon the probability of successful rehabilitation. A log-linear model is fitted to a multidimensional frequency table defined by these client character istics and client closure status (successful or unsuccessful rehabilitation). From this model, estimates of the probability of success for different client subgroups and case load potential-the number ofsuccesful rehabilitations expected from a specific caseload in a given year—are obtained.
