In the study reported here, feelings of alienation, as measured by Keniston's (1968) Alienation Scale, were generally found to decrease as a result of particularized group experience. This reduction, statistically significant at p < .05 after three weeks, was stable over a six-month period. Though subscale differences and individual differences were found, the authors conclude that a three week daily T-Group experience did reduce feelings of personal, interpersonal, and social alienation.
