A t present, one would not be able to refer to any one Marxist analysis of religion, but much rather to various studies bringing to light, in the diversity of existing situations, the relations which unite practices and beliefs to specific forms of power, thought, stuggles and social exchanges... Abandon certain categories, create others, reopen forgotten routes. One of these might be researching the subjective efficiency of belief and of that which makes a social bond. Of course this concerns the great religions, but also the organizations and movements proposing social ideals or political objectives. |
