| dc.description | This study analyzes survey data collected from over 400 junior high school students in Grades 7 and 8 in an attempt to determine the relationships between family drug use factors; peer drug use factors; school problems; psychosocial concerns; alcohol, marijuana, and other drug use; and abstinence. Socialization theory is used as the theoretical framework, factor analysis is used to create indexes, and analysis of variance and regression procedures are used for analysis. Based on the findings, implications for policy, prevention, and treatment programs are discussed. |
