dc.description Sarah, 20 months, and Chris, three-years old, open the door for Tammy, the early interventionist/home visitor, to let her into the house. Chris grins and says, "Hi," while Sarah greets Tammy by patting her cheeks, gaining eye contact, and smiling. Ann, Sarah's mom, baby-sits Chris during the day. Sarah and Chris are playmates. Ann joins in by welcoming Tammy into her home and suggesting they meet in the kitchen where Sarah's breakfast is ready. Tammy and Ann wait for Sarah to gesture "come on" before following her and Chris into the kitchen.
