An Engineering Foundation Conference is scheduled at New England College, Henniker, New Hampshire, July 15–20, 1973, on ‘Energy Research—Alternatives for Policy and Management to Meet Regional and National Needs.’ The conference will be sponsored by the five founding societies plus other professional and industrial organizations that have a primary interest in energy development. The 1973 summer study conference will deal, on an interdisciplinary basis, with the options and alternative arrangements for performance of needed energy‐related research and development. In addition to a series of overview papers, with response from business, government and public interest groups, the conference will feature a series of creative workshops that will seek new organizational forms and managerial techniques appropriate to this critical problem area. In addition to representatives from the primary engineering disciplines, conferees will also include physical scientists, political scientists, economists, architects and planners. |
