A two‐year international oceanographic study program was initiated this month in the central Mediterranean by Edward F. K. Zarudzki of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Joining Zarudzki will be Carlo Morrelli, Director of Osservatorio Geofisico Sperimentale, Trieste, and Raimondo Selli, Director of Instituto di Geologia e Paleontologia of the University of Bologna. The other American scientists will be Carl Bo win, Joseph Phillips, and How‐Kin Wong. Several members of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology geophysics groups will also join the cruise. |
