| dc.description | Oak Ridge National Laboratory is continuing its study for the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission of the potential of nuclear‐powered agricultural and industrial centers. The AEC of India has completed a very favorable first preliminary study and with ORNL assistance is moving into engineering studies. Another version of the concept is being studied jointly by the USAEC and the Puerto Rican Water and Power Authority. Of particular interest is a larger study undertaken by ORNL for the Middle East under AEC and AID sponsorship. |
