An electron microscopic study was made on development of rabbit uterine smooth muscle. The structural details of that in various stages of development during the period through embryo of 30 days old )to the mature were described and discussed. The relationship between smoothimuscle cells and mesenchymal cells during the differentiation, and the problem- of fibers in the intercellular spaces during the development were also described and discussed.
