Five cases of chronic agranulocytosis are presented. They are differentiated from recurrent agranulocytosis and from splenopathic leucopenia.It is suggested that these cases are variants of chronic aplastic anaemia in which the main impact of the disease is on the white cells.The prognosis appears to be relatively good, particularly with control of attacks of infection by penicillin.
