| dc.description | In a recent letter Loucks [1970] made a few interesting comments about the linear decision rule proposed by Revelle et al. [1969]. Loucks' first comment concerns the initial storage volume defined as a<sub>0</sub> · C; a<sub>0</sub> ≥ a<sub>m</sub>, where a<sub>0</sub> and a<sub>m</sub> are specified fractions. The release constraints for the first time period are given by (1)q1≤a0·C−b1≤f1where a<sub>1</sub>, b<sub>1</sub>, f<sub>1</sub>, a<sub>0</sub>, a<sub>m</sub>, and C have the same meanings as defined by Loucks and Revelle et al. |
