| dc.description | Careful experimental investigations have revealed that it is possible to simplify the forward scatter technique of measurement of the outer and inner diameters of an optical fibre with a core, provided that the required accuracy is not more than a few per cent. Some semi-empirical mathematical derivations of the interference pattern also have been included. |
