MicroRaman spectroscopy is a rapidly developing field with numerous applications. A brief overview of the application of this technique lo polymeric and inorganic materials is given. Applicaiions of ihe technique lo polymer fibres and composites, semiconductor devices and ceramics are demonstrated, with emphasis on the limits of attainable spatial resolution. Raman imaging is included.
