AbstractData provided by 50 institutions of higher education indicated that there is a wide variety of fishery and fishery-related programs throughout the United States. With present facilities, faculty, and operational funding, most of the institutions responded that their programs are responsive to both student and industry/employment needs. However, more than 50% of the institutions project new faculty recruitment, expansion of existing or building of new facilities, and acquisition of new equipment.
